Luarasi University Hosts Coaching Visit by Professor Mirjana Laban within the 1Future Project
Luarasi University successfully hosted a week-long coaching visit by Mirjana Laban, representing the University of Novi Sad, in the framework of the 1Future Project. The visit, held from 8–12 December 2025, aimed to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of tailor-made short intensive courses and to strengthen the capacity of the Knowledge Hub Central Structure (KHCS) at Luarasi University.
Day 1 – Coordination and Planning (08.12.2025)
The visit opened with a coordination meeting between the KHCS team at Luarasi University and Professor Laban. During the session, KHCS staff presented the results and activities from the past year, followed by detailed planning for the full agenda of the week. Academic staff from various units of the university were present and contributed actively to the discussions.
Day 2 – Lecture with Students (09.12.2025)
On the second day, Luarasi University organized a lecture with students enrolled in the short-tailored courses developed under the 1Future Project. Professor Laban engaged with the students, providing insights and feedback on the academic structure and practical approaches of the courses.
Day 3 – Meeting with Academic Staff and Stakeholders (10.12.2025)
The third day brought together academic and administrative personnel, as well as external stakeholders from business sectors, NGOs, and student groups. The discussion focused on the relevance of short intensive courses for the labor market, the role of universities in connecting education with industry, and opportunities for deeper cooperation with civil society.
Day 4 – Lecture and Workshop with Students (11.12.2025)
A combined lecture and workshop session was held for students attending the short-tailored courses. Interactive activities allowed participants to discuss sustainability topics, circular economy principles, and practical applications of course content, guided by Professor Laban and Luarasi University’s academic team.
Day 5 – Final Meeting and Strategic Recommendations (12.12.2025)
The final day concluded with a structured meeting between KHCS key staff and Professor Laban. Discussions focused on visibility strategies, potential funding opportunities, future
partnerships with businesses and NGOs, long-term development plans for HUB infrastructure, digital tools, team capacity building, and future research directions. Emphasis was placed on how the HUB can continue to support education, collaboration, and international networking.
Throughout the week, Luarasi University reaffirmed its commitment to innovation in teaching, international cooperation, and the continuous strengthening of institutional capacities. The insights and guidance shared by Professor Laban represent valuable contributions to the ongoing development of the KHCS and the broader objectives of the 1Future Project.
