Call for applications for the Henri Rieben Scholarship of the Foundation (academic year 2017-2018)

Call for applications for the Henri Rieben Scholarship of the Foundation (academic year 2017-2018)

The Henri Rieben Scholarship of the Foundation is put in contest for the 7th consecutive year.
Amounting to 3 ‘ 000 CHF net per month in addition to the reimbursement of expenses for the journey (place of residence-Lausanne- place of residence), the scholarship allows advanced doctoral researchers from around the world to stay in the premises of the Foundation for a duration of one to three months (between September 1, 2017 and July 16, 2018).
Whatever the discipline of the researchers, their doctoral thesis will have to regard the history or the stakes of the European integration process, or else the relations between Switzerland and Europe.
The Scholarships awarded every academic year encourage the consultation and exploitation of the archives of the Foundation which also cover the first half of the 20th century and relate to other European issues. The Foundation also encourages the consultation of the private archives of Jacques Delors during his years of presidency of the European Commission (1985-95). These archives recently opened for research are available for consultation in particular to the Foundation thanks to a partnership with the Institute Jacques Delors.
The grant holders selected will be based at the Farm of Dorigny, headquarters of the Foundation, situated on the Lausanne University Campus.

The applications submission deadline is set to March 5, 2017. The file must be electronically submitted to the secretariat of the Foundation (secr@fjme.unil.ch). Decisions will be notified to the candidates for the end of May, 2017.
