As part of the activities of the 1FUTURE project “United for Sustainability – Building Climate-Resilient Communities in the Western Balkans and the EU,” the first edition of the e-newsletter has been published.

Recognizing the important role of higher education institutions in the Western Balkans region, the 1FUTURE project connects the academic community with various stakeholders to contribute to the creation of climate-resilient communities. In the face of urgent climate change challenges, this initiative, aligned with the EU Green Deal and the Erasmus+ CBHE action, highlights the transformative power of higher education in promoting sustainability and resilience.

Established in 2019, the 1FUTURE project network represents a strong collaboration bringing together higher education institutions from the EU and the Western Balkans. This dynamic consortium is further enriched through the involvement of business associations, non-profit organizations, and support from governmental partner institutions, embodying the quadruple helix model and ensuring multidisciplinary cooperation, diversity, and strong stakeholder engagement.
